We provide everything your pet will need while staying with us.
However if you have a preferred diet, you may bring it with you and we will feed per your directions.

You may also bring bedding, toys and treats.
Please do not bring pets feeding dishes. We use stainless steel feeding Dishes.

Required Vaccines

DHPP VACCINE
Often referred to as the distemper vaccine, the parvo vaccine, 6-in-1 vaccine, or DHLPP. It is an acronym for the diseases that this vaccine protects your dog against.

No matter which version your dog receives, this is an extremely important vaccination. Puppies need at least three sets of this vaccine to start and adult pets should have this vaccine updated yearly.

D - Distemper: Canine Distemper is an extremely dangerous and highly contagious viral infection. Initially distemper is seen as an upper respiratory disease. Signs include runny eyes, nasal discharge and sneezing. More severe cases can show severe diarrhea, vomiting and seizures. If the central nervous system has been affected, dogs that survive are often left with uncontrollable muscle jerking or epileptic type seizures that remain for life. There are many animals that can be infected by the distemper virus, including raccoons and ferrets.

H - Hepatitis: Infectious Canine Hepatitis (ICH) is a viral disease that attacks the liver in dogs. Other organs of the body that may be affected include the kidneys and eyes. The severity of this disease can vary from a mild illness that is hardly noticed to a severe disease that can kill. It can be difficult to diagnose ICH because the first signs are so vague. Initial signs include fever, anorexia, increased thirst and inflammation of the mucous membranes of the eyes and mouth. Laboratory tests are often needed at this point to discover the cause. Later in the disease a blue haze is often seen within the eyes. In severe cases, treatment entails hospitalization with intravenous fluids and various medications.

P- Parainfluenza: Canine Parainfluenza is a highly contagious respiratory disease which contributes to upper respiratory disease and Infectious Tracheobronchitis. Parainfluenza is one of the many viruses in the respiratory complex that causes kennel cough.

P - Parvovirus: Canine Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that is spread through direct or indirect contact with a carrier's feces. Puppies are the most susceptible to this virus, however, an older dog with a compromised immune system is also at risk. Parvovirus is extremely painful to the dog and is usually fatal within 72 hours if not treated.

RABIES VACCINE
All mammals, including humans, are at risk of contracting rabies, which is almost invariably fatal. Rabies is sometimes called the great pretender because the signs are so variable in animals. Rabid dogs may display a "dumb" form, characterized by listlessness, weakness, and paralysis, or the "furious" form of rabies characterized by abnormal aggression. Less commonly, dogs may just have signs of drooling with their tongue hanging out. In areas where risk is high, vaccination of dogs and cats is mandatory. Even dogs that do not go outside much should be vaccinated: rabid bats can fly into homes, and rabid wildlife such as skunks and raccoons can enter a fenced yard.. Research shows that animals with rabies can shed the virus (infect people) before the signs are obvious, so avoid close contact with a stray. Instead, contact the appropriate authorities to rescue it for you.

BORDETELLOSIS VACCINE (Kennel Cough)
A vaccine for Bordetella bronchiseptica which is a contributing cause of kennel cough syndrome is available. These bacteria are a leading cause of kennel cough, causing respiratory symptoms such as coughing, nasal discharge, and fever. Serious infections can lead to pneumonia. Dogs in close contact with other dogs such as in veterinary facilities, dog parks, shelters, boarding facilities, dog shows, training classes, and other high risk environments will benefit from vaccination for this disease.
In addition to DHPP we recommend including Leptospirosis and Corona vaccinations for complete Protection
L- Leptospirosis: Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that mainly attacks the kidneys, liver, and nervous system. The bacteria are transmitted through the urine and can be contagious to many animals and people. Laboratory tests and culturing the urine are often needed to diagnose Leptospirosis. Hospitalization is often needed for treatment.
C- Corona: Canine Coronavirus is an intestinal disease. Signs include vomiting, watery diarrhea and lethargy that can last up to 10 days. The danger of coronavirus infections is its ability to dehydrate the dog, which can lead to death. Often hospitalizations with intravenous fluids are needed for treatment. The disease is transmitted by the fecal material if infected dogs and is highly contagious.
